Copyright & Rights

LiveTV.eu is an independent television discovery and information platform. It provides channel information and access points to externally hosted broadcasts.

We respect applicable copyright, neighbouring rights, trademark rights and other intellectual property rights. The sections below explain how LiveTV.eu deals with its own content and with third-party content, and how rights holders can contact us about an item listed on LiveTV.eu.

Our content

Original LiveTV.eu content, such as our own texts and descriptions, the website design, the software, the structure of the channel database, graphics and other original elements, may be protected by applicable intellectual property rights, to the extent that the law protects them.

Please do not copy or reuse substantial parts of this content beyond what the law allows.

Third-party content

Channel names, broadcasts and other third-party materials referenced on LiveTV.eu may belong to their respective rights holders. LiveTV.eu does not claim ownership of third-party broadcasts, channel brands, logos or other third-party materials unless expressly stated otherwise.

Channel details on LiveTV.eu are compiled from several sources, including public, community-maintained datasets and an older LiveTV.eu catalogue.

The news ticker shows headlines from the public news feeds of third-party broadcasters, as plain text without a link. These headlines belong to their publishers.

Broadcasts & streams

LiveTV.eu does not host video broadcasts on its own servers and does not store video streams.

Playback is initiated by the visitor. Where a channel page offers playback, the stream is shown in the LiveTV.eu web player: after you press Play, your browser requests the video directly from the external source. The channel page also shows the stream address, which can be opened directly.

To show a technical status, LiveTV.eu periodically requests a limited part of a stream, such as its playlist, to check whether it responds. LiveTV.eu does not cache video.

Availability depends on the external source. External sources may become unavailable, be geographically restricted, be changed or be removed at any time, so LiveTV.eu cannot guarantee that a broadcast is available.

The status shown on a channel page is the result of a technical check, not a statement about rights or licences. Nothing in this notice should be interpreted as a determination of the rights or licences held by any third-party broadcaster or stream provider.

If you believe a stream should not be listed, please submit a rights notice or a technical report.

Logos & trademarks

Channel names, logos, service marks and other brand identifiers displayed on LiveTV.eu may be protected by copyright, trademark or other applicable rights and remain the property of their respective rights holders. They are displayed to identify the channels listed on LiveTV.eu.

So that your browser does not load images from third-party servers, channel logos are displayed from copies stored on the LiveTV.eu server, made from the logo addresses in the channel catalogue.

Display of a third-party name, logo or brand identifier on LiveTV.eu does not imply ownership, sponsorship, endorsement or affiliation unless expressly stated. Rights holders who do not want a logo or brand identifier displayed can submit a rights notice.

Images & credits

Photos used on LiveTV.eu pages, for example in the home page, country and category sections, come from Wikimedia Commons and are used under public-domain or Creative Commons licences.

Each photo is listed with its title, author, source and licence on the Image credits page. If you believe a photo is credited incorrectly, please submit a rights notice.

External links

LiveTV.eu may link to external websites and services, such as broadcaster websites, stream addresses, social networks for sharing and partner offers.

External websites and services are operated by third parties and are subject to their own terms and privacy policies. LiveTV.eu does not continuously monitor every external website, and links may change or stop working. LiveTV.eu does not claim ownership of external websites or their content.

Some links to partner offers are affiliate links; see the Affiliate disclosure. How LiveTV.eu handles your data is described in Privacy & Cookies. If an external link is incorrect, please report it.

Rights notice

If you hold rights, or are authorised to act on behalf of a rights holder, and you believe that material or a link available through LiveTV.eu infringes those rights, you can submit a rights notice. Please include:

the claimant name;
contact details;
identification of the protected work or right;
the exact LiveTV.eu URL;
an explanation of the alleged infringement;
any supporting information;
a statement that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
confirmation that you are authorised to act, where applicable.

The rights notice form asks for each of these. A LiveTV.eu administrator reviews each notice and can disable a listing on LiveTV.eu where appropriate.

For technical problems, such as a stream that does not work or shows the wrong channel, please use a technical report instead.
